Why construction accounting is different

The financial challenges construction companies face

Every job has its own budget, schedule and cash flow. Without job costing, a busy year can still lose money.

Cash flow between draws

Materials and payroll go out before progress payments come in.

Job costing

Labor, materials and subcontractor costs need to be tracked by job to see true profit.

Retainage & progress billing

Amounts held back until a job is finished have to be tracked and collected.

Subcontractors & 1099s

W-9s, insurance certificates and year end 1099s for every sub.

Yes. We collect W-9s as you bring on new subs and file 1099s each January.

Do you work with contractors on federal jobs?
